What is

Can I issue gift cards with DAXTOP?

Yes. DAXTOP supports gift cards and store credit as payment instruments: sell a card at the register, and its balance lives centrally in your account — so a card bought in one branch redeems in any other, immediately, with no reconciliation between stores.

Store credit uses the same rails for returns without a receipt-refund: credit the customer's balance instead of cash, keep the revenue in the store, and let the balance settle on their next purchase.

Controlled and auditable

Every issue, redemption, and adjustment is logged with the operator and register, and outstanding balances are visible in reporting — gift card liability is a number you can read, not a drawer of paper vouchers.

Gift cards as a business, not just a payment

Gift cards are quietly one of retail's best products: the sale is cash now for goods later, a meaningful share of balances is spent alongside additional purchases, and every redeemed card walks a new customer through the door. Seasonal peaks — holidays, graduations — reward having cards visible at the counter before the season starts.

The accounting side needs the discipline the system provides: sold-but-unredeemed balances are a liability, and DAXTOP's reporting keeps that number current, with every card's history traceable when a customer disputes a balance.
