Does AnyPrint support USB printers?

Yes — USB is precisely what AnyPrint exists for. Plug a USB ESC/POS thermal printer into the checkout PC and AnyPrint detects it within seconds: no driver installation, no configuration files, no printer setup wizard. The tray icon turns blue when a printer is ready.

Multiple printers on one machine are supported, print jobs can target a specific printer, and if several DAXTOP sessions run on the same PC, AnyPrint's port fallback (3088–3092) lets them share the bridge cleanly.

Why USB

USB is the most reliable path at a checkout counter: no network stack, no IP addresses to manage, no Wi-Fi drops between the register and the printer. One cable, and the printer prints — which is why AnyPrint focuses on doing USB perfectly.

Troubleshooting in one paragraph

If a USB printer is not detected: check the cable and power, confirm the tray icon's printer list, and — the one real gotcha — uninstall any manufacturer driver that claims exclusive USB access, because AnyPrint talks to the printer directly and a possessive driver blocks it. Reconnect, and detection completes within seconds.

Garbled output almost always means the printer is not in ESC/POS mode (common on Star models before the mode switch). The getting-started guide and compatibility notes at anyprint.app cover both cases with model-specific steps.
